1Day 1 Verona / Trento / Strada del Vino / Caldaro / Bolzano

Departure from Verona. Meet your tour leader and head towards Trentino Alto Adige. The first stop is Trento, the capital of the Autonomous Province of Trento. On the guided tour, you’ll see the Cathedral of San Vigilio with its Neptune Fountain, the exterior of Buonconsiglio Castle, the Civic Tower, and Palazzo Pretorio. Enjoy lunch on your own, then continue the journey along the Wine Road, a 42-kilometer stretch of pure nature, passing through charming villages, vineyards, and wineries. The wine culture in Alto Adige is one of the oldest in Europe; from the 18th century, several Bavarian monasteries acquired wine estates in the area and developed this tradition, which flourished under Austro-Hungarian rule. Stop in Caldaro, a highlight of Alto Adige’s winemaking, and visit a winery for a tasting of local wines. Check-in at a hotel in the Bolzano/Bressanone area. Dinner and overnight stay.

2Day 2 Merano / Lago di Resia

Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, depart for Merano, a famous spa town in South Tyrol. Explore the city center, which has a distinctly Central European feel, and visit the stunning Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle, home to botanical species from around the globe. In 1870, Empress Elisabeth of Bavaria underwent spa treatments in Merano, staying at this castle. Her visit brought fame to Merano as a spa and health resort. Enjoy the castle’s gardens, a magnificent botanical garden. Free time for lunch. In the afternoon, head to Lake Resia, the largest artificial lake in the Alps. In 1950, 150 families from Curon had to leave their homes due to the construction of a large dam. Today, the bell tower of Curon’s church, rising from the water, is the symbol of Val Venosta. Return to Bolzano for dinner and an overnight stay.

3Day 3 Bolzano / Bressanone

Breakfast at the hotel. Embark on a guided tour of Bolzano, the capital of the Autonomous Province of Bolzano, known for its high quality of life. The tour includes a visit to Walther Square, the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta, Piazza delle Erbe, and the Dominican Church, one of the city’s earliest Gothic structures. We’ll also visit the South Tyrol Archaeological Museum, where Ötzi, the oldest natural mummy ever discovered, dating back to the Copper Age and found in 1991 in the Val Senales glaciers, is housed. Lunch is on your own. In the afternoon, we’ll head to Bressanone for a guided stroll through the town center. Bressanone, the oldest city in South Tyrol, was historically the main residence of the prince-bishops of Bressanone. Some free time to wander its charming alleys and lively historic center. Return to Bolzano for dinner and an overnight stay.

4Day 4 Val Gardena / Val di Fassa / Lago di Carezza

Breakfast at the hotel. Spend the entire day discovering the stunning Dolomite landscapes on a Dolomite circuit tour. Start by heading to Val Gardena, reaching Ortisei, beautifully nestled in a basin of meadows and forests with views of Sassolungo and Sella. Enjoy a walk in the town center with your tour leader. Continue to Selva di Val Gardena and ascend to the Sella Pass (2213 meters), offering a breathtaking panorama of the Sella massif, one of the most impressive in the Dolomites. Move on to Pordoi Pass, where you’ll have free time for lunch. Optionally, you can take a cable car ride to Sass Pordoi (2950 meters) for an additional fee. In the afternoon, descend into Val di Fassa with a stop in Canazei, the main town of the valley. At sunset, you might witness the Enrosadira phenomenon, where the mountains take on a pink hue. Finally, visit Lake Carezza, where the majestic Latemar is reflected in the water. Return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

5Day 5 Castel Thun / Rovereto / Verona

After breakfast, depart for Vigo di Ton to visit Castel Thun, one of the most impressive castles in Trentino, located in the charming Val di Non. This castle served as the residence of the noble and powerful Thun family for centuries. The interior features original 16th-century furnishings, a rich art collection, and a significant library. The visit includes an audio guide. Continue to Rovereto for a guided walk through its beautiful town center and free time for lunch. Enjoy some free time before departing for the return journey to Verona.

You will need a valid Passport to enter in the country. Italy require that your passport is valid for at least six months from your date of entry. When you book a tour, a 25% deposit and insurance is requested ( the payments will be accepted in the form of money order or credit card ). Sold must be paid, at least 30 days before departure. Travel documents will be delivered only after sold payment. PLEASE NOTE: for those who book online, only one credit card payment is required
TRAVEL INSURANCE
Please be informed that flights are not included in our travel packages. Therefore, transportation to Italy must be arranged independently. Consequently, no insurance coverage is provided by us for flight cancellations, delays, or loss/damage of personal baggage during the transit. Clients are advised to seek assistance directly from the airline or the respective agency they have engaged with.
Duomo Viaggi & Turismo has stipulated a travel insurance with AXA insurance (policy No. 28436) providing assistance for medical expenses in travel. The maximum rates for medical travel expenses are: Italy € 1,000 / Europe € 50,000 / Rest of the world including the Russian Federation € 50,000. CANCELLATION POLICY
Applied percentages:
– 10% penalty on the individual participation fee from the registration up to 45 working days ** before departure;
– 30% penalty on the individual participation fee from 44 to 30 working days ** before departure;
– 50% penalty on the individual participation fee from 29 to 20 working days ** before departure;
– 75% penalty on the individual participation fee from 19 to 15 working days ** before departure;
– 100% penalty on the individual participation fee from 14 working days ** before departure.
Penalty of 100% of the individual participation fee is also up to traveler who can’t undertake the journey for an irregularity of expected personal expatriation documents and also for the traveler who decides to interrupt the journey or stay already undertaken.
