  1. 1Day 1 Bari / Alberobello / Calimera / Lecce / Taranto

    Meals included: none

    Meeting with the guide, followed by departure on a private bus to the city center of Bari. Visit to Saint Nicholas Cathedral. Depart for the city of Alberobello, a picturesque center in the Murge famous worldwide for its “Trulli,” which are its characteristic architectural feature. After the visit, free time for lunch. In the afternoon, depart for Calimera and take a short panoramic tour; then proceed to Lecce, the baroque city par excellence: the historic center is rich in architectural and monumental beauties, including Sant’Oronzo, Santa Croce, the Amphitheater, and the Roman Theatre.
    At the end, depart for Taranto and check in hotel. Free dinner. Overnight stay at the hotel.

  2. 2Day 2 Corigliano / Siderno / Locri / Reggio Calabria

    Meals included: breakfast

    Breakfast at the hotel. Depart for Corigliano and upon arrival, visit this small typical Calabrian town with its splendid coast and its majestic and historic buildings: Castello Ducale and Sant’Antonio Church (entries included). At the end, depart for Siderno. Free time for lunch. Short panoramic visit of the city: The historic center of Siderno is truly beautiful, with the church and some buildings that have received attention in recent years being very well cared for. From the square, you can enjoy a spectacular view and the streets are very characteristic. Depart for Locri (6 km) and visit the city and the Archaeological Museum; then proceed to Reggio Calabria to the hotel. Free dinner. Overnight stay at the hotel.

  3. 3Day 3 Messina / Taormina / Catania / Siracusa

    Meals included: breakfast, dinner

    Breakfast at the hotel. Depart from the hotel in Reggio Calabria to the port and embark on the ferry to Messina. Upon arrival, proceed to the beautiful city of Taormina. You will admire the impressive Greco-Roman Theatre, the ancient Cathedral, Palazzo Corvaja, the former Church of San Francesco di Paola, and Piazza IX Aprile, from where you can enjoy a breathtaking view. Free time for shopping and walks through the characteristic streets of the center, full of craft and souvenir shops. Free lunch. In the afternoon, visit Catania, a grand “baroque showcase” whose historic center is divided by the elegant Via Etnea. The visit will allow you to see Palazzo Biscari (exterior), the Elephant Fountain, the Cathedral, Via Crociferi, the Town Hall (exterior), Palazzo dei Chierici (exterior), and the Benedictine Monastery (exterior). Transfer to a hotel in the Syracuse area. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

  4. 4Day 4 Siracusa / Palermo

    Meals included: breakfast, dinner

    Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, visit Syracuse. This city, which in the past was the fiercest rival of Athens and Rome, preserves important testimonies of its past splendor: the Greek Theatre, the Roman Amphitheatre, the Latomie, and the Ear of Dionysius. Visit the island of Ortigia where you can admire the Temple of Minerva, transformed into a Christian Cathedral, and the legendary Arethusa Fountain. Free lunch. Enjoy a shopping walk in the elegant streets of the historic center. You will also visit the Teatro Massimo, the famous Piazza Pretoria with its beautiful fountain, and the Quattro Canti di Città from the outside. Transfer to the hotel in Palermo. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

  5. 5Day 5 Palermo

    Meals included: breakfast 

    Breakfast. Morning dedicated to visiting the historic center of Palermo. In particular, we will visit the Arab-Norman style Cathedral, the famous Palatine Chapel located inside the Norman Palace, and the Martorana Church. There will be an opportunity to visit the characteristic Ballarò market, the oldest of the city’s markets, animated by the so-called “abbaniate,” the noisy calls of the sellers who, with their characteristic and colorful local accent, try to attract the interest of passers-by. We suggest taking the opportunity to taste street foods typical of Palermo cuisine: panelle, crocchè or cazzilli, boiled octopus, pani ca’ meusa, arancini, and sfincione. Palermo ranks as the first European city and the fifth in the world for street food. Free time for lunch. In the afternoon, transfer to Palermo airport.
