2Day 2 Milano

Meeting with the guide, getting on the coach and a whole day dedicated to visiting the Lombardy capital, known as the economic center of Italy. External view of the Sforzesco Castle, via Manzoni, La Scala theatre, the Gallery, Corso Vittorio Emanuele and Piazza Duomo with its magnificent Cathedral, dedicated to Santa Maria Nascente. It is the largest church in Italy, as the largest St. Peter’s Basilica is in the territory of the Vatican City, the third in the world in terms of surface area, the sixth in terms of volume. Visit to the Basilica of S. Ambrogio, one of the oldest churches in Milan. It is located in Piazza Sant’Ambrogio and represents not only a monument of the early Christian and Romanesque era, but also a fundamental point in the history of Milan and the Ambrosian Church. It is traditionally considered the second most important church in the city after the Milan Cathedral. Meeting with an Ambrosian Bishop or with one’s compatriots who have moved to Milan. Possibility of celebrating Holy Mass in a significant church in the Milan area. Going back to the hotel.

3Day 3 Milano / Roma

The Holy Year includes, among the rites to be carried out, a journey by foot that prepares the faithful for entry into Rome. For this occasion in Milan two Sacred Ways will be highlighted. “the short way” and “MilanoIncima”. The first route crosses the historic center, with stops in the oldest churches in the city, while the second crosses three city parks. Possibility to make one of your choice. At the end, transfer to the Milan Central train station. Accommodation in reserved 2nd class carriages. Departure by high speed train for Rome. 4Day 4 Roma

Meeting with the guide, getting on the coach and a whole day dedicated to a guided visit to Rome, the cradle of Christianity, historical base of the Roman Empire and political center of Italy; of the basilica of S. Pietro papal seat, of S. Giovanni in Laterano, of S. Maria Maggiore and of S. Paolo futuro le mure. Possibility to celebrate Holy Mass.

5Day 5 Roma / S. Giovanni Rotondo

With a guide along Via della Conciliazione, view of Castel S. Angelo with the bridge of the same name. Also visit on foot the worldly Rome with Piazza Navona, the Pantheon, Piazza di Spagna, the Altare della Patria and the Trevi Fountain. In the afternoon departure for S. Giovanni Rotondo, in the Gargano in Puglia, where the remains of Padre Pio, proclaimed a saint in 2002, are kept. Arrival, getting on the coach, and transfer to the hotel. 6Day 6 S. Giovanni Rotondo / Roma

Morning dedicated to visiting the town of Padre Pio. San Giovanni Rotondo has become an unmissable stop for faithful from all over the world. The greatest attraction of this town is the small convent of Padre Pio, which is located in the church of Santa Maria delle Grazie. Inside this church there is the crypt and a small museum which collects the remains of the Saint and reconstructs his life. Inside, you can visit the small cell, where San Pio spent his life. In 2004 the new and sumptuous church of San Pio was built by the architect Renzo Piano. Possibility to celebrate Holy Mass. In the afternoon return to Rome. Hotel accommodation in the reserved rooms.
