Meet the guide in Bologna. Start the visit to the splendid city which, since its foundation, has been one of the most important in the Po Valley: Felsina under the Etruscans, it became Bononia with the Romans, and then Bologna as a free municipality and lordship before finally becoming part of the Papal States. Arrival and guided tour of the historic center: Piazza Grande, Church of San Petronio, Archiginnasio Library, and then the pavilions and entrance to the National Art Gallery. Free time for lunch. At the end of the visit, departure for Ravenna. Arrival and check-in at the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.

2Day 2 Ravenna

After a breakfast in the hotel, full day visit to the city of Ravenna, an ancient seaport that silted up with the sediment of its rivers. Ravenna now uses a very active artificial canal for access to the Adriatic Sea. Its history dates back to Roman times: the port connected it to the East through numerous imperial trade routes. During the Byzantine Empire, the city was enriched with immense monuments from that era, adorned with splendid mosaics that characterize it worldwide. Visit to the Church of San Vitale, the Mausoleum of Galla Placidia, the Neonian Baptistery, the Archiepiscopal Museum, Sant’Apollinare Nuovo, and Sant’Apollinare in Classe. Dinner and overnight.

3Day 3 Ravenna / Parma / Bologna
Meals included: breakfast
Breakfast. Board the coach and depart for Parma, a city of art to be savored while strolling through its streets, discovering at every corner its character as a magnificent capital of Romanesque style and the homeland of the Renaissance painter Parmigianino, as well as the capital of the Duchy of the Farnese, a powerful family that influenced world history. Upon arrival, meet with the guide and take a walking tour of the city, visiting the Cathedral, the Baptistery, and the Camera di San Paolo. Free time for lunch during the tour. In the afternoon, begin the journey back to Bologna
